Watching Basketball

Today we went to a women's basketball game to see Wake Forest take on Florida State. There was a promotion to support the United Way which offered tickets for $1. We arrived early, encouraged by the threat of bad weather which is supposed to give us some snow tonight.

McKenna posed "for a capture the moment" shot while the warm-ups were going on:
Keeghan looks on as the player introductions are made:

But her attention was really on the Demon Deacon mascot. She waved at every opportunity to get his attention:

However she had no luck with this approach and eventually had to place a call:
The mascot showed up, but Keeghan wimped out and kept her hands over her eyes. Apparently, in the World of Keeghan, this behavior provides a cloak of invisibility or something. Her sisters stepped in and got their picture taken:

All three give him "fives" before he had to return to join the pep band and cheer squads:

Oh yeah, there was also a game to watch:
We had a good time and the low attendance provided a great opportunity to experience a college game as a family. The girls could move about freely and the icing on the cake was the t-shirt we caught during a "time-out t-shirt throw".

Go Deacs!

Sunday

This month there is an exhibition of the artwork from the various elementary schools in the county on display at a local college's fine art center.
Camdyn's school was represented by the artwork of three students which included her cat collage.

On Sunday afternoon there was a reception for the students and their families where Camdyn was recognized on stage with all of the other artists.
We then returned home in time to watch the Steeler game. The girls all enjoyed waving their Terrible Towel.

In the Company of Greatness

Yesterday, Camdyn lost her second front tooth and I couldn't help but see a resemblance to some other great athletes.

Even though its only temporary, and will probably no longer be a factor when soccer begins again, it should help her intimidate on the dance floor at Irish dancing. Here she shows off what she has learned so far this year at their holiday party:

And not to be out-done. McKenna and Keeghan continue to develop their gymnastic skills.

Besides their many other activities:
I'm certainly lucky to live with three great girls + one great wife, and I'm looking forward to see what happens in 2009.
